Terms of Service

The short version: FixKon is a Windows utility and AI voice assistant that can take real actions on your PC when you ask it to. You stay in control: you can stop it at any time, and destructive actions ask for confirmation first. Use it responsibly, keep backups of what matters, and understand that AI and system-changing tools carry inherent risk.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms are an agreement between you and Unex Technologies LLC, a Virginia, USA limited liability company (“FixKon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), for use of the FixKon app and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using FixKon, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What FixKon is

FixKon is a Windows utility and AI voice assistant that can help clean up, optimize, secure, and operate your PC, including performing actions on your computer at your request.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to use FixKon. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. License to use FixKon

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use FixKon on Windows devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the app or any part of it
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or the underlying models, except where permitted by law
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or branding
  • Use the Service to build a competing product

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use FixKon to break the law or harm others;
  • attempt to bypass security, abuse the AI, or interfere with the service;
  • share a single license across more machines than your plan allows;
  • resell or redistribute the app without our permission;
  • use a connected account (see Section 7) for anything beyond what you authorized when you connected it.

We may suspend or close accounts that repeatedly misuse the service.

6. The AI assistant, and why it matters

FixKon’s AI is hands-free and can take real actions on your computer (change settings, move or delete files to the Recycle Bin, close apps, set reminders, and more) when you ask it to.

  • Voice activation. You start a request by holding the keyboard shortcut (Win + Alt by default) and speaking. Your microphone is active only while you are holding the shortcut; releasing it sends the request and stops the microphone. FixKon does not listen when you are not holding the shortcut. See the Privacy Policy for how audio is handled.
  • You are in control. You can cancel a request while speaking, or stop an action already underway, using the on-screen control or the Esc key, and destructive actions ask for confirmation first.
  • The AI can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing what it does. We recommend keeping backups of important files before applying any suggested changes.
  • FixKon is a tool to assist you; it is not professional IT, security, legal, or financial advice.

Any software that changes system settings or files carries inherent risk, including the possibility of removed files, changed settings, or unexpected behavior on some configurations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss or system issues resulting from your use of these tools.

7. Personalization, reminders, and connected accounts

  • Memory. If enabled, FixKon keeps short notes about your preferences to personalize the assistant. You can view, delete, or disable this in Settings.
  • Reminders. If you ask FixKon to remind you of something, it stores that reminder on your device and in your account and will notify you at the scheduled time. Reminders depend on the app running on your PC; we do not guarantee delivery if the app is closed, offline, or the PC is off. You can cancel reminders at any time.
  • Connected accounts. If you connect a third-party service (for example Gmail or Spotify), you authorize FixKon to act for you within that service using an encrypted access token, and you remain responsible for activity taken on your behalf within the scope you authorized. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or actions of third-party services you connect. You can disconnect at any time.

8. Plans, billing, and trials

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. The Starter plan includes a one-time allowance of AI usage to try the assistant. This allowance is per account and does not reset monthly; continued AI use after it is exhausted requires a paid plan. The renewal price and billing frequency are shown at checkout before you subscribe. You can cancel anytime from your account page or through the billing portal link in your receipt email; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We will notify you in advance of any price increase to an active subscription, and you may cancel before it takes effect. Unex Technologies LLC is the seller for your purchase; payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe, subject to its terms, and we do not receive or store your full card details. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and added at checkout where required. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

9. Your content and intellectual property

We handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy. You keep ownership of your files and data; we do not claim rights to them, and you grant us only a limited license to process what you send to the assistant solely to provide the Service. FixKon, including its software, design, branding, and content, is owned by Unex Technologies LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

10. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, or change features, and we may set reasonable usage limits to keep the service reliable for everyone. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Changes that materially reduce the core functionality of an active paid subscription will not take effect for you until your next renewal, or we will offer a pro-rated refund for the remainder of your term.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI RESPONSES OR ACTIONS WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE OR SAFE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNEX TECHNOLOGIES LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unex Technologies LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) content you submit to the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party in connection with your use of the Service.

14. Termination

You may stop using FixKon and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

16. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
